In 1952 Slim and Dorothy Harnden began an adventure that would last a lifetime. They established the Dairy Bar and it has been a local favorite ever since. The menu reads like an old-time malt shop and the building, inside and out, is still reminiscent of those times. It is hard to narrow down the one thing for which Dairy Bar is famous. Some may say it's the juicy jalapeño burgers made from all natural beef which Dairy Bar grinds and patties onsite, or the marinated grilled chicken served on jalapeño sourdough bread. But once you try the ice cream, you might agree it's their claim to fame. The rich and creamy real ice cream is wonderful by itself, but the menu is full of variety including the return of the chocolate-dipped ice cream cone.  

If the menu doesn't win you over, then the dedication to 100% Great Customer Service by the Dairy Bar staff will. Customer satisfaction also extends to the menu items. 2022 marked the 70th anniversary of the Dairy Bar; co-owners Sherlyn Beauchamp, and Mary Harnden have kept Slim and Dorothy's dream alive.
